Most children will have a skin condition at some time. Skin conditions are a common reason for consultation in primary care and in dermatology practice. We review common skin conditions in children and describe their epidemiology, clinical features, and treatment, focusing on treatments with best evidence.
The course content would include:
Dermatitis: Seborrheic and atopic dermatitis
Child abuse and neglect
Congenital and neonatal skin conditions
Common infections of the skin
Miscellaneous (pigmentary disorders (e.g. vitiligo), hair disorders (e.g. alopecial areata). Etc.
Summary, MCQ, case studies.
