Common Resistance Mutations and the Stanford Database

The presence of HIV drug resistance is an independent predictor of the virological response to ART. However, interpreting the results of HIV-1 drug resistance tests is difficult. Sound understanding of the principles of ARV therapy, patient clinical data and use of the Stanford Database will enhance HCW ability to better understand the results of HIV-1 genotypic resistance tests.
