Management of co-morbidities in HIV

Modern ART has now achieved the goal of maintaining HIV suppression with minimum drug-related toxicities. The main health issues in people living with HIV today are diseases not directly associated with HIV. While they are common in the general population, their burden, diagnosis, clinical course and subsequent therapy alongside treated HIV infection exhibit specific features. This lesson will review challenges in the field of HIV-associated co-morbidities and clinical management approaches. 2 CPDs are allocated.
