HIV Prevention

This Entrustable Professional Activity(EPA 1) is a component of the Diploma of HIV Management focusing on: Providing HIV negative patients with HIV prevention options: - Post exposure prophylaxis (PEP) of a patient with a needle stick injury - Post exposure prophylaxis (PEP) of a patient that has been sexually assaulted - Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV negative patients - Providing comprehensive counselling to an HIV negative patient on all available options for prevention HIV infection. - Navigating ethical considerations regarding HIV counselling, confidentiality and disclosure. 2 CPD point is allocated.
